Subconscious

Subconscious

In the twilight of darkness,
Somewhere between
dreams and reality
The conscious mind is executing.

What was deeply embedded
in your subconscious now surfaces,
mixing with the moon’s iridescence
and the lonely call of the ocean.

Your heart perceives security
in this secret realm
of tranquility and slumber
To thoroughly express
the soul it possesses.

What was too painful by day
Can be revealed by night.
Only the scrambled images
and enigmas of the subliminal
can the emotions be realized

The deep scar from love not fulfilled
cries out in the illumination
with the moon and stars as witness

Champagne

Champagne

I don’t know why
I was hiding from you.

The champagne was absolutely delicious
that we drank from the tall blue crystal bottles on the table.

Its sweetness
in contrast
to the horrific death scene
before us.

As the scythe
sliced off your head ,
I saw it fall to the floor
below the kitchen sink.

Your golden curls
Now sticky
with wet blood.

But you weren’t
a beautiful blonde
with cascading
shimmering curls.

You were an old
sinister evil man
with red eyes
and an wicked plan
for mankind.

I think I stopped you

Your champagne
was delicious
